Branding & Packaging Design for a Perfume Brand

A great fragrance is much more than just the fragrance. It’s the thought, the story and the approach behind its creation that makes it memorable. We truly believe that a great fragrance starts with its aroma and ends with a myriad of memories and experiences enabling a story to be born. The biggest ingredient common in every fragrance they create is heart. The fragrances start with the aroma, flirt with your memories, and find a place to settle down in your heart. This fragrance journey lets you dive deeper than the surface of its aroma to create your own story.

Challenge

The core challenge was to compete with the existing international perfume brands and making the target audience aware about Fragrance Story perfume & are value for money

Objective

To create the brand identity for
Fragrance story and packaging of the
existing perfumes.

The perfume can be purchased by all because the price was low as compared to other competitors plus the fragrance was like of international brand. Hence to attract elite segment of the audience, the logo we have created using two colours i.e., golden and black, which represents the richness/ premium category of the brand. In the font style we have used curves as we wanted to showcase the signature based identity which would be more personal for the mass audience.

Packaging Design

The main idea of this packaging is inspired by the ‘Valley of Flowers’ in the state of Uttarakhand, Virtual paradise on earth! We have used the design and pattern the valley of flower which is the key scents of this perfume.

As you know Fragrance Story has introduced its line of destination perfumes that take you around India’s most sought after places that leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. One of the lot is City of Lakes- A fragrance from the Aquatic – Woody notes that is inspired by the calm, serene, traditionrich heritage of Udaipur. So the packaging theme as the look and feel of Udaipur with blue colour we wanted to depict thecalmness of the nature.

The main idea of this packaging is inspired by the ‘Flame of the Forest’, which is also known as Palash, a very beautiful tree with bright crimson orange coloured flowers. This is the state flower of Madhya Pradesh as well as Jharkhand. We have used the pattern of Butea Monosperma tree and create the forest environment which is the key scents of this perfume.

One of a kind, “Goa” is a youthful take on the oceanic category. Goa – A fragrance from the Fresh Aquatic notes inspired from the oceanic conditions of Goa. Mario de Miranda, was an Indian cartoonist and painter based in Loutolim in the Indian state of Goa. So for the Goa destination perfume we have used the Mario de Miranda’s illustration style on the packaging design.
