About the role
Design-OS is where strategy becomes a brand system. As Senior Brand Designer, you'll work alongside a strategist and creative director to build identity systems for ambitious brands from a children's media platform to enterprise AI. You won't be handed wireframes to skin. You'll be in the room when the positioning is decided, and the visual language will be yours to shape.
We work in long engagements typically 12–20 weeks per brand which means depth, not throughput. Expect two to three concurrent clients, weekly critiques, and the kind of stakeholder presentations where one slide can change everything.
What you'll do
Translate strategic platforms into complete visual identity systems logo, type, colour, motion, photography direction
Co-lead client presentations and defend creative choices with conviction and clarity
Build brand guidelines that scale across markets, products, and team members
Critique work from juniors and freelancers generously, specifically, and on a regular cadence
Partner with the strategy team to stress-test identities against real-world contexts
Contribute to studio-wide systems our design tokens, internal libraries, and the way we ship
What you bring
4–7 years designing brand identities at an agency, in-house studio, or as a respected independent
Fluency in type, grid, and editorial design. Confidence with motion is a strong plus
The ability to explain a design decision in one sentence to a CMO who doesn't speak Figma
A bias toward strategy. You read the brief twice before you open the tool
Mastery of Figma; working knowledge of After Effects, Cinema 4D, or comparable motion tools
Bonus, not required
Experience working with AI-augmented design workflows
A side practice writing, type design, illustration, photography
Prior exposure to product or UX systems alongside brand
What this role is not
This isn't a production seat. You won't be resizing assets, building decks, or executing a creative director's vision pixel-by-pixel. If that's the job you want right now, the Brand Designer role one level down is the better fit and just as respected here.
