About the role
Design-OS is where strategy becomes a working product. As Junior UX Designer, you'll work alongside senior designers and a creative director on user flows, wireframes, and interfaces for ambitious brands — from a children's media platform to enterprise AI tools.
You won't be making slides or chasing assets. You'll be in the room when product decisions are made, contributing your perspective, and growing through real critique on real work. We work in long engagements typically 12–20 weeks per project, which means you'll see designs go from first sketch to shipped product — and learn from every step.
What you'll do
Support senior designers on user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces across two to three client projects
Run small research tasks — competitive audits, usability sessions, and stakeholder interviews with guidance
Translate research insights into design decisions and present your thinking in internal critiques
Contribute to our growing component libraries and design systems
Document your work clearly so engineering can build it without asking five follow-up questions
Bring fresh perspective to brainstorms — junior eyes catch what senior eyes miss
What you bring
1–3 years designing digital products at an agency, in-house team, or as a freelancer (internships count)
A portfolio showing your thinking, not just your final screens. We care more about how you got there than how polished it looks
Working knowledge of Figma. Comfort with auto-layout, components, and variants
Curiosity about why people behave the way they do — and the patience to find out
The ability to take critique without taking it personally, and give it without making it personal
Bonus, not required
Side projects, indie products, or design exercises you've published
Familiarity with motion or prototyping tools (Framer, Principle, Origami)
A background in psychology, behavioral science, or anthropology
Writing — a blog, a newsletter, or even thoughtful Twitter threads about design
What this role is not
This isn't a "do whatever the senior designer says" seat. You'll have real ownership over flows and screens from week one, with mentorship — not micromanagement. If you want a role where you just execute, this isn't the one. If you want a role where you grow into a confident designer with strong opinions, it is.
