The Vyas Building at MIT-WPU houses the School of Computer Science and Engineering along with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence. It is a space dedicated to disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, and advanced computing technologies. The objective of the project was to develop an internal branding system that transforms the building into a cohesive and engaging environment- one that reflects the spirit of technological innovation while improving spatial navigation and visual identity across the building.

Create a cohesive and visually engaging environment.
Kind of a space that integrates ancient wisdom with cutting-edge technology. The design will emphasize a clean, uncluttered aesthetic, avoiding an overload of elements or colors.

Technology is not just functional—it is pattern-driven. And interestingly, so is ancient knowledge.
Vedic systems → cycles, order, cosmic logic
AI systems → algorithms, data patterns, structured intelligence
Turn a physical building into a thinking environment.
Ancient sages observed the Navgraha to understand the universe’s order and the forces that influence time and destiny. Today, this wisdom mirrors the digital age, where algorithms and data follow structured patterns similar to cosmic cycles.
The Navagraha now represents not only celestial forces but also the core of data & AI, blending the cosmic and digital to shape our future.
Introducing Navagraha
In Vedic astrology, the Navagraha refers to the nine celestial bodies that influence various aspects of life.
Each of these celestial bodies represents specific cosmic forces and principles, symbolizing a balanced cosmic system.
Inspired by cosmic patterns + computational grids
To make the space more meaningful and structured, we introduced “Heroes of Progress” as a floor-wise narrative system.
Spatial Branding
A clear and intuitive wayfinding system was designed to simplify navigation across the building. Minimal signage and iconography ensure ease of movement while maintaining visual consistency.
Environmental graphics are integrated across key spaces, creating a cohesive visual narrative. Each area reflects core disciplines and the overall concept.
