Translating India's festive diversity into a cohesive packaging language, one that stretches across formats, seasons, and occasions without losing its soul.

01 - THE PROJECT BREIF

The Challenge

Havmor needed a festive packaging refresh, one that could speak to the energy of Indian celebrations while staying brand-consistent across formats. The real question wasn't what to design. It was what to stand for.

What We Built

A modular festive identity system, patterns, palettes, and a typographic language that translate cultural richness into packaging without decoration for decoration's sake. A system with rules, not just references.

Most festive packaging borrows from culture, motifs, colours, patterns without asking what those elements actually mean to the people who celebrate. We started differently: by understanding the emotional register of each festival, and letting that drive every design decision.

Rather than designing a single festive look, we defined a modular visual grammar, a core set of structural rules flexible enough to express the vibrancy of Diwali, the exuberance of Navratri, or the joy of Eid, while remaining unmistakably Havmor.

Palettes tuned to each occasion’s emotion the warmth of Diwali, the energy of Holi, the calm joy of Eid translated into colour with intent.

Built to scale across formats from a cornetto wrapper to a festive gift box without redesign. The system is the asset.

one visual grammar, many expressions.

The packaging language didn't stop at the product. We extended the festive system into Havmor's store environment — wall art, freezer wraps, menu cards — so the celebration was total and immersive, not just a label on a shelf.

The brand circles reflect moments of joy and sharing at Havmor, while breaking the rigidity of store spaces with a soft, playful visual rhythm. They also ensure high visibility and seamless adaptability across walls, signage, and multiple in-store touchpoints. We incorporated a fresh & a friendly look in Havmor’s store to foster the consumer experience. This was crucial, as it was necessary to make a strong connection with people.
